I have always struggled to find a cage for my small pups that isn’t an eye sore. It’s a bonus that when we travel it can go with us easily. I promise this cage will not disappoint! And I got the fitted bed for it; and it’s soft and truly fits perfect! This is a win for people like me who want their everything in their home to look great and serving a functional purpose!!!
I was looking for a dog crate that wasn’t metal for my new puppy since I was worried the magnet on his collar for our automatic dog door would stick to it. I was so happy to find KindTail! I loved it so much I bought three. One for my office and two for home. It’s such a nice design, it fits right in with my modern decor.
I just received my PAWD and my dog loves it. As soon as I set it up he went in there. This is unusual because I had to persuade him to use the wire crate for weeks. I love the covered top because I don't need to put a towel over it like my previous crate.
I am really pleased with this crate. Not only does it look nice, but it is light and fairly easy to travel with, which was my primary motivation for purchasing it. There are, however, three things that I believe can (and should) be improved.
1) The crate should have been designed to collapse much more easily, rather than requiring it to be disassembled into three pieces before placing it back into the box. Which leads me to my next point...
2) Why not include a handle to carry the crate once it has been collapsed for much easier portability? I would have preferred to recycle the box altogether but now I feel like I need to keep it because at least it has a handle.
3) I’m not thrilled with the latch mechanism for the crate door. It seems flimsy and it’s more difficult than I would like to “snap” the latch so the door is closed securely. The latch is made of a hard plastic so I worry that it’s only a matter of time before it cracks or snaps off altogether.
Overall, however, I am happy with this crate. I plan to watch out for future generations of this product in the hopes that some improvements to the aforementioned points are made.
Finally a crate that my puppy is not afraid to go into!
